Took this into the mekong and the wilder bits of Vietnam and neither of us were bitten; result! Just a couple of points that might help. This is not a universal spray for all flying beasties - its to stop mosquitos. Do not expect it to stop ticks, flys, lice etc - 'cos it isn't designed to do that. Point two - if you are away for more than two weeks you will need to take another spray and respray your clothing. It does state quite clearly after two weeks it starts to loose power and if you wash your gear regularly (as we did) I would suggest two weeks is the MAXIMUM before a respray. All quite simple to do and no stains on our clothing and only a very faint smell but my word it kept the mozzies at bay!Final hint, take a spray to use on your mosquito netting it adds an extra layer of protection.

It does the job and is useful

Ok. It works. Sprayed inner tent with this before travelling to Scottish Highlands in August. Camping by a loch. Midges came out in clouds and it was impossible to avoid getting into the inner tent without midges following me inside. Oh no. I am going to get eaten alive I thought. But then I noticed all the dead midges in the corners of the tent. Relief. So, yes it works. Had also sprayed socks and trousers and midge proof net jacket before travelling. Didn't get any midge bites or tick bites hiking across Highlands, bog, trail, grass, woodland etc. 1 bottle did one man inner tent, 2 pairs socks, 1 pair hiking trousers, t-shirt, midge net jacket and trousers, midge net hood. Hung items on clothes line and sprayed as per instructions. Sparingly but enough to get good coverage. Left to air dry. All good. No smell or residue.

Used this to spray curtains in a mosquito heavy area. No problems - kept the room bite free all week.Good for clothes - even repels horse flies. You will need 1 bottle per room per week stay.
