Great present
My son loves that it's loud to hear the bread out of the speed, that stand is nice so you can set it up and leave it

Perfect for fun and training
Its a little small, not great in the direct sunlight and the tripod is all but useless (especially in the wind). Its a little slow to reset, but nothing drastic. But other than that the actual device works great. We love it. Definitely worth the $$ compared to higher priced items that in the end probably do exactly the same thing.

It does the job
Keep in mind it requires 5 AA batteries that aren’t included. It’s easy to set up, the manual is thorough and straightforward, and it’s accurate. You also have to be accurate in order to get a read. If you sail a pitch, it might not register a reading. If you bounce a ball in the dirt, I’m not sure if the reading is pre- or post-bounce.

Don't waster you time or money.
Tried to find a good spot to set this up to accurately measure my daughters pitch speed. I was never able to get a good read from it. Display was always 10MPH off for Fastball. roughly 5-7 MPH off for rise, curve, screw. The closest it got was for the changeup but was still off by about 4MPH.It's also very difficult to read if it is bright out. Need to have it indoors or in the shade.I really wish I would have gotten a chance to use it in the first 30 days, I would have returned it. But the first chance I got was on day 32. What a disapointment.

Accuracy depends on distance
Used this for measuring speed of disc golf throws. The closer to the radar objects pass, the faster the speed shows. Had a 12mph shift with just a 3ft difference in distance from radar.
