*UPDATED* It Works!
***Update 5/28/25*** My sweet boy (see story below) has now been on Bernie's Perfect Poop for over two weeks now and I can confidently say that for him (and us), this has made a HUGE difference! After the first week we noticed his bowel movements were much more bulked up and there was a dramatic drop in the instances of his anal glands leaking. We still had a few instances, but definitely decreased. We are now just over two weeks in and for the last week we have had ZERO incidences of anal glad leakage. Not to mention he seems to be less bloated, no more gas, better smelling breath, and much more playful than usual. The only change has been adding in the Bernie's Perfect Poop. Initially we started out giving him 1/2 to 1 tablespoon each day, but he currently gets two heaping tablespoons every day. He loves the taste but he's not a fan of the crunchy texture, so I put it into a bowl and add 1-2 tablespoons of warm water and let it sit a few minutes. It then takes on the texture of a canned/soft dog food, which he LOVES. This has worked so well for our pup that I just purchased the 30 oz. bag. We initially bought the 12.8 oz. bag and we anticipate it lasting us a total of 1 month, so I'm hoping the 30 oz. bag will last us a few months. Well worth the price - our boy is happier and WE are happier not having to deal with his stinky, leaky anal glands!**********************************************I have a four year old mixed breed dog that’s about 35 lbs. He has suffered with bad breath, terrible gas, loose stools, and leaky anal glands since we adopted him. The worst of this situation being his anal glands. They’re always leaky and SO smelly. We tried switching his kibble many times and also added in multiple different types of fibrous foods to help bulk up his stools, but nothing has worked.I then started doing research on various “anal gland” supplements, but I was always hesitant to try them because they are SO expensive ($30 +) and most don’t contain what I believe to be enough fiber to make much of a difference anyway. I knew he likely needed more flaxseed than anything and most supplements did not contain that. Most contain pumpkin powder. So after doing research and comparing products, I finally stumbled upon Bernie’s Perfect Poop here on Amazon. When I saw that it had 600 mg of Pumpkin Powder AND 400 mg Flaxseed per serving, I realized that this was the first product I’ve researched that actually contained enough of these ingredients to POSSIBLY make a difference. So I didn’t hesitate to place an order. My only concern when purchasing was (1) will my dog eat it? And (2) will it actually help?Well, I just received our 12.8 oz bag yesterday and was eager to let my pup test it out. I placed 1/2 a serving size in a bowl for him. Appearance-wise, the supplement looks very much like a fiber cereal for adults. It doesn’t have a terrible smell and is just dry, fibrous bits. (Almost looked like bacon bits.) My dog sniffed it and licked up a little, but because the bits were so small and crunchy, he lost interest. And I knew if I mixed it with his regular food, he’d likely just eat around it. So because it is a fibrous kibble, I added a little bit of warm water (just a few drops at a time to moisten it) and then stirred it up. It then was soft enough for him to lick up. He then LOVED it and was begging for more lol.So this evening we’ll do the same thing – we’ll add a 1/2 serving size with a little warm water and give it to him that way. So even though I can’t say for certainty that this supplement is going to help with the problems my dog has, I am very hopeful that this will help him turn the corner. I promise to come back in a week or two with another update – but so far I’m pleased with the product and my dog appears to be as well!

Outstanding product!
We have been struggling with soft poop with our Samoyed since we got her as a puppy. Samoyeds are known to have sensitive stomachs but it was worse than I remembered, I had a Samoyed as a child as well). Almost every day, usually the second poop of the day would be soft.As of three years old, she was basically only eating her sensitive dog food, chicken and rice and any time we gave her more than a few treats, her poop would get softer, PB texture. It was really limiting her nutrient intake (I know how important food variety is for humans/dogs). I have been using the Purina Fortiflora for over a year on vet direction and I think it helps somewhat but not to where she would have consistent solid poops. She also was eating tons of grass, tree bark, dirt.I found this product after someone on my FB Samoyed group mentioned it. I saw the ingredients and thought this has got to be good (pumpkin, grass, bromlien, multiple probiotics - all things people recommend). I admit I was nervous to try this, what if it made it worse or caused diarrhea. I decided to go for it. I even reached out to the customer service and they were so nice, sent me a detailed email about how to introduce it slowly. They even suggested using it with the fortiflora as they are different probiotics. So, I started really small, like a few bits per meal. I'm now up to about 1/2 TBSP each meal. What I can say is, wow! Even with that small amount her 4-5x day poops is now 3x day and much firmer. Occasionally I get a softer second poop of the day but not PB texture, and no mess on her furry bum. :)I am really thankful for this product. I really think it's helping. It's not a cure all, but she is eating more various treats and seems healthier overall. I have been recommending it to friends as well. Thank you, Bernie's!

Give your dog a boost to better health
This stuff works well to rid your dog of some worm types. We rescued a pup from a shelter a few months ago. We knew there were worm issues cause of the "cow pies" he was dropping in the yard. We tried the BRAT diet, & changing the food. Bernies Perfect Poop helped by getting rid of the tape worms but it took a script to get rid of the round worms. We are still giving him the supplement from Bernie in the cheese flavor just for precautionary measure. We keep the packet in the fridge with the green veggies he gets every day. So, yes we believe this has been effective, it is extremely easy to use. When I first this supplement I gave him a forth of a tablespoon to get his system acclimated to the new addition to his food for several days working up to the full amount suggested. There has not been any skin nor digestive issues from this.

UPDATE. AMAZON SAID NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REFUND.
Seller reached out to me and was very kind and refunded me when Amazon wouldn’t. I don’t understand why it didn’t work for my pup since it has so many good reviews. I will try other Bernie’s products because they are a good company and have good customer service. **** I did just a few sprinkles to keep it at the lowest dose until I knew for sure it would work. Never got to go above a few sprinkles because I used it for four days and all it did was make my dog vomit. Amazon refused to do a refund so there’s more proof that Amazon itself is just going downhill.
