Hi Stephen, The material in the pouches are mineral balls including KDF to remove heavy metals such as chlorine, chloramine, lead, copper & arsenic. Diatomite ceramic balls adding beneficial calcium. Anti-bacterial balls remove bacteria & prevent bacterial growth. Tourmaline balls to alkalize the water. Q: I have drank alkaline water in michigan for 20 yrs. i am now in germany and can not find alkaline water. i am wondering how this would compare ?

I do not use the on-the-go pkts as intended. I would find it hard to tell wether I got 5 gallons per pack by using it per glass full. I use a 5 gallon jug and drop in 1 packet, which the company told me would be ok. I then pour it into what ever cup, travel bottle I want. I have a ph testing meter and when I test the water it shows at least a ph of 7. Plus, the water tastes good.
