You will not be able to just swap out the standard switch that you currently have installed for this one as only the hot wire is run to the switch, this caused me to not installed the two switches I had bought where I had originally planed and instead installed them where I could fish a wire through the wall from an outlet that I was lucky enough to have directly below another switch for lights I don't use nearly as often.The instructions are also outdated and should be updated, when setting up the switch from the app I had no clue which switch I should choose from the options presented to me after selecting wall switch, and took a good bit of trial and error to figure out.

As simple as any other device. Some basic knowledge of electrical work needed. I bought this because a previous one hardly fit in the box. The body of this one is somewhat smaller. Has light to find switch in dark areas. I use the recent “wait” function in Alexa routines as timer to control timer tu turn on for a specific number or minutes. The time function is not of this switch but part of the Smart life apps, to control turning light on and off at predetermined times. It does not have a random function to simulate lived in mode.

Device dead in 3 day of usage.. cannot get it on.. no lights outside.. wasted 4 hours of installing the switch..Zero stars from my side.

I have three of these switches and use them for automating my front porch light to come on and go off at sunset/sunrise. I also have used them for lights inside the house. The switch was easy to install and has a slim profile. It looks nice once it is installed. I got this switch because it uses the SmartLife app and works with other smart devices I already have from other manufacturers.

Cannot beat the price. The presentation is also fine. Good intefr with Google home. However, it is not very secure as it doesn't use Z-wave or Zigbee protcols. It doesn't integrate with other hubs like Wink, Smarthibgs.
