Love this bag
This bag is amazing got this to compare against a vertex bag long walks. This bag is amazing. I love the layout and the shoulder straps and back is amazing. This bag is beyond my expectations just as a regular bag. I didn’t even read fully up on it didn’t even know it has storage for a rifle or sub gun. Amazing all I can say!

One and done.
I'll keep this short and sweet; I've bought so many different types of backpacks to carrying a sbr. None compared to the quality of this.. Spend the extra buck, buy this bag and be done. 💯

Premium Quality
I’m rating this 5 stars because of the sheer quality the Eberlestock brand brings to the pack. Everything on the pack feels premium. This is my first bag from this brand, but with my first impressions it will not likely be my last.STRAPS:The highlight of the pack is the straps. The straps have ample padding to stay comfortable on the shoulders. The padding continues through the back to help provide ventilation. The straps are also large enough to be workable on my 6’2” XXL frame. I do wish the waist strap came standard on this, but the option to add one is a nice plus.CLAMSHELL:The next best thing is the clamshell back with the purpose of holding a breakdown rifle. Maybe that doesn’t make for the best EDC bag, but would be perfect for a bug out or even range bag. My longer barreled rifle happened to be a bit large for it. That’s just a reason to add to the collection, right? There is easy access to this section. If you are creative, this could be used for many things.LAPTOP/BLADDER POCKET:The laptop pocket was sizable and will keep your tech safe. If you don’t need to carry a laptop, this section could also be used to hold a bladder pack. As I tested it out, there was ample room for it, and the hose can be fed out either side.BOTTLE POCKET:The pockets on the sides will easily hold your Nalgene bottles. They will sit deep in the pocket so there is no concern about them falling out. A Nalgene not fitting is a big pet peeve of mine. The elastic also holds the bottles tight to the bag.OTHER POCKETS:The rest of the pockets are pretty standard. However, my hot take is I’m kind of liking that simplicity. Sometimes these bags can have so many pockets I lose track of things. If things need to be separated, I’ll organize items within smaller bags.WHAT IT’S MISSING:I would really like for this to have a dedicated section for a small pistol. To me that makes the difference between being an occasional or specialty use bag and an EDC bag.FINAL THOUGHTS:I’m rating this bag based on the quality and how well it performs its intended purpose. I believe it fully hits the marks on this. If this isn’t the bag for you, I recommend finding something else in the Eberlestock lineup that more closely fits your needs because the quality is obviously there.

This One Hurts Me
This might be the hardest review I ever had to write. I was so excited to be getting this bag. HUGE fan of Eberlestock, and I'm probably ruining my chances of getting anymore gear from them by writing this. It kills me. But I have a job to do here; I take it seriously, and I'm an honest reviewer. So, here it is. The good, the bad, the ugly...The materials used in this pack, and any other Eberlestock pack I've ever owned or laid eyes and/or hands on, are second to none. And the over-all look and finish just exudes top quality. Love the fabrics, weaves and rip-stop grids they use. Love the buckles, straps, zippers, and glove-friendly pulls. Suspension system and back padding are out of this world. Probably overkill on this little guy. Looks the same as the one on the V90 Battleship, you'd load up with 100lbs of gear. LoL.Love the grab handle on top. Love that there are two quick-access pockets (though I'd like SOME kind of organization in them. At least a separation pocket, maybe a zippered mesh pocket or two).Love the big clamshell pocket with the felt-like loop field throughout, good for attaching hook-backed pouches, panels, etc. Love the two water bottle pouches. Love the hydtration bladder compartment/hanger/holes. Love the protective laptop sleeve. Now, for the bad and ugly. First up, mine came with a stitching flaw along the outer top edge seam, that leaves a hole. I melted the loose threads down, but still a hole there. Probably fill it with gorilla or shoe goo (I don't get to return these review products for a new one. *Crying emoji). I think I'm going to add the star back, I was taking off for that, because anyone else can return it for a new one. Makes me a feel a little better, because I was going to give 2 stars.Next up, it's a little smaller than it looked in the pictures. Kinda reminds me of something my Tinder date was complaining about this morning, but I digress.I don't see this replacing my usual EDC packs, as I was hopong it would, as I usually require a little more capacity and organization, depending on the day's mission. But I WILL use it for certain things. If I'm not going to be carrying a lot with me. It does billow out quite a bit, and will hold more if you stuff it. BUT the main compartment only opens at the top. I want more, or full access to that compartment, like most Eberlestock and most all other tactical pack brands have nowadays.Which brings me to what this pack appears to be designed for. In my opinion, based on my intermermediate level of self-proclaimed tactical gear expertise, this pack has two or three very mission-specific intended purposes.I would call it something like an Gray Man Urban High Threat Response Get Home Bag.This would be the pack you keep in your vehicle, kitted up with a compact rifle, ammo, respirator/gas mask, set of mission appropriate clothes, gloves, eyewear, first aid, CS/pepper/fogger cans, trauma kit, poncho, knife, Navigation/Comms, E&E Kit, water, rations. Like the you ran into rioting, or some major SHTF event, and had to abandon your car and get home. Perfect pack for that.2nd and 3rd best jobs foror it, would be commuting to school or work with a laptop, files/notebooks, if you're not carrying much extra. Maybe throw all your junk in edc pouches, or add some hook-backed organization to the felt-loop backing inside the big clambshell compartment. So, if you're using it for one of those three missions, I think you'll count it as a 4-5 star experience, assuming it's in your price range. Which brings me to my last gripe. I think the digital damage could use a little downward adjustment, for this size and style of a pack. Just my two cents. So, there it is. The hardest review I ever had to write. So much to love about it; just not quite ideal for my uses. It will certainly get used; just not as often as I planned. I bet there are slightly bigger models that would work better as an everyday EDC, and I hope to get my hands on them someday. In the meantime, I'll be sticking to my more spacious/organized/accessible big competitor brand name packs for EDC. I do still have my sights on an all Eberlestock Long Term Bug Out/INCH Bag system, though. My minor disappointments with this one certainly aren't scaring me away. Eberlestock For Life.
