My Friend Fear: Finding Magic in the Unknown Hardcover – 2 Jan. 2018

This book is so beautiful.. I'm taking my time reading it, just dipping into it whenever I feel I need a bit of a lift and it really is like no other book I've ever had. Each page is it's own work of art, and the inspirational text and quotes are fab. I am an artist and just looking at the pages makea me want to paint! I'd recommend this book to anyone who feels a little bit lost, it will really help and it's small and light enough to fit in your bag and take with you anywhere.

I’m so pleased I purchased this book having come across Meera Lee Patel on Instagram. As well as sharing her personal journey through her writing, it’s expressed exquisitely through her art work. It brings the book to life. It’s a refreshing and honest take on fear and how we can use it to guide us in life, as opposed to stopping us. And if fear does stop us, it’s normally as a guide post and an area to work through.

Meera's book is personal, intimate and beautifully illustrated. It is colourful and poetic, quite different to the usual books I read about fear and anxiety. It takes a different perspective on fear: showing it to be a guiding light or a helpful friend, leading us to discover our true selves and aims in life. I highly recommend this book as a comforting companion when life becomes overwhelming and fear feels like it will never leave.

This is an utterly gorgeous book, and is a must for anyone who is struggling to tackle their fears. It's beautifully written (from the heart), and each page is an absolute delight in terms of colour and illustrations. I've got so much from it already but I know it's a book I would happily pick up again and again because there really is something very special about it. Magical, I'd say 🌟

A beautiful book of words and illustration to help us with our fears. Wonderful to read it and I enjoy keeping it to mind. A book that I will come back to over and over again. I love it!
