Q: I have bought an Apple phone case , can this stay on during docking ??

I have a slim, rubbery, Anker 6s Plus case and it prevents proper docking. The case covers the entire bottom of the phone apart from the speaker and Lightning slot. The thickness of the case stops the Lightning plug from going all the way into the socket of the iPhone, so I have to remove the case to dock the phone properly.

Q: Is this mains powered?

Yes, it comes with a mains transformer that plugs into the wall socket. There's also a backup battery supplied, so it doesn't lose the time if there's a power cut.

Q: Can anyone help, i was pleased with this, but when i charge my iphone 5s on it it mutes my phone and i have to reset my phone to get sound back ??

I'm afraid I found a few little idiosyncrasies which make it difficult to use. As a result I'm afraid I've gone back to charging my IPhone with the USB and just using the Azatom as a clock. Sorry I wasn't of more help.

Q: Is the iphone strongly attached when fitted into the alarm clock slot?

I'm not sure as it is a Christmas present and hasn't been used yet. It looks very sterdy and secure and fits nicely.
