This shower backflow is constructed well, has a folding, metal half moon handle that folds flat out of the way. 4 units came in the order to cover lots of showers or sink drains. These are effective at keeping sewer flies, etc from crawling up the drain. They allow water to flow through then use a spring closure to close up.Collar and handle are metal. Basket is plastic with graded silicone washer to fit and seal a variety of drain sizes.Just drop into drain. Works great so far.

This may fit a standard bathtub but for any drain like a walk in shower that has a 2" or more drain hole then this tiny thing isn't gonna cut it. I assumed it would still work but it's really not meant to drain water very fast so it fills my walk in shower pan fast.

I guess European drains are smaller than American standard drains only good for your sink not your shower
