I think this book is one of the best books I have ever read and I really enjoyed it.Liz Pichon is a fantastic writer and has the most amazing books, I am 9 years old and think Shoe Wars is a brilliant read as well as the Tom Gates collection. This book...is incredible.(if Liz Pichon is reading this I just want to let you know that you are an amazing writer.) :)

Bought this for my little on after him reading the Tom gates collection, fair to say this caught his attention and he had his eyes glued to the pages.

Fantastic Childrens book!! My 8 year old son only begun reading for pleasure after discovering other books by this author, he expressed excitement upon discovering this book so I had to get it for him.Shoe Wars is fun, well illustrated and fantastically written.We especially loved the addition of a shoe lace as a bookmark, it added to fantastic authenticity and creativity of the story and book.I recommend this so highly to other parents and fans of children’s books.

Daughter is 9 & asked for this book as they had it in her school she read it in a couple of days she liked it that much

It would be better if there was more action and tom gates references but its a great book :D

My son is a fan of the Tom Gates books, so I purchased this one. He loved the story, but also the references to Tom Gates throughout the book. Even though the story is independent of the Tom Gates story line, it was fun to feel like an insider when certain familiar characters or drawings were shown. Can't wait for the 2nd book!

SHOE WARS is an amazing book ,at first I thought that Ruby and Bear would not be able to come to the contest but I was wrong they made it in the end. But there is one problem, a page din't load. Only one page though so it's OK (Plus my name is Rishi and I am 8 years old)
