It's like buying ink for your printer. The printer was not very expensive but the ink costs drain you dry. Unless you are going to try to make your own, this is still the most cost effective way to by the salt pods. BUT, I still love my Navage.

Had to have this sent to a relative in South Carolina as they stopped shipment to Hawaii via Amazon. I really wish the shipping direct from Navage wasn't so expensive or that Amazon was allowed to ship to Hawaii or I'd recommend them to my family and friends in the islands who also suffer allergies because this is FABULOUS bar none. If you live in continental USA, get this because it works.It takes only 60 SECONDS, that's right I said SIXTY SECONDS for the entire procedure! I prefer stopping at half way and TURNING the nose part opposite so that both sides gets irrigated. Unlike other salt water irrigation systems, one has to blow your nose ONCE; there is NO liquid running down your nose and into your throat. This is EASY, quick, and relatively mess free. And did I tell you it WORKS?Can't say enough. I am thinking of sending one to the relative who has been nice enough to mail the pods to me as she suffers from allergies. Would make a fabulous gift that will cover a number of occasions.Oh, and I got a small surprise of a couple of packets of pods (about 20) as a thank you for a previous review. I appreciated the thoughtfulness but would LOVED to have them include Hawaii in their shipping. Oh well, again nice gesture from a really fabulous company.

I highly recommend Navage and this saline rinse

These pods are designed to work with the Navage nasal irrigator. They do, but the real story is the irrigator itself. It works by providing suction (not overpressure) to one nostril and drawing solution in through the other. ( I regard forcing fluid through a nasal passage as somewhat risky and certainly messy.) The saline flows from a top chamber into a bottom chamber.It is neat and the safest way to irrigate. In fact, it is the only way when the user has a congested nostril. In such cases the Netti pot is useless. The suction can be applied to the stuffed nostril. I add a small amount of Alkalol to warm water and pour the result into the upper chamber.I have been using daily for about a year and have never replaced the battery.

This is a great product for me as the Neti Pot never worked for me. I use the Navage nasal rinse nightly before bed
