A short, fun workout
This is a fun workout DVD, especially for those days when you don't feel like working out, when you are getting over a cold, just starting an exercise program, etc.The music is fun, and the live drummer makes it more so. He's in several of the YBB DVDs, I think.I'm a fan of the YBB DVDs, and this is one is definitely more of a workout than others, using elastic bands and a squishy ball. I use dumbbells and barbells, and I was surprised by the intensity an elastic band could provide, but I also used one that has a higher intensity than some. I used a foam yoga block instead of the ball, and it worked out well. You could probably pick up a playground ball in a toy department. You do need an elastic band that's longer than most. I might try elastic tubing in the future since my bands aren't as long as needed. For those not familiar with the YBB DVDs, they start and end the DVDs with some kundalini inspired yoga, such as setting an intention and silently saying a mantra. I like it - it focuses your attention on what you want out of your workout.Teigh and Gillian, the instructors, are fun, encouraging and have just the right amount of enthusiasm. Their voices are pleasing. It's only been in the past year since I learned of YBB, and I'm so happy I did. It's a light exercise program that's a nice change of pace from all the P90X, Insanity, Turbo, trainer in your face, etc., programs that are out there. YBB is fun. I like an intense workout, but that I can do that on my own when I run and when I lift. What's been hard is finding a light exercise program for those days when I don't have it in me to run or lift weights or even go to a yoga class.

Great, creative workout
I have another DVD lead by these 2 women. I love their style, their creative mix of yoga, ballet, aerobics, and pilates.

Good stretching & toning video using bands & squishy ball
This is a 35 min workout with Teigh & Gillian with several of their students all girls & 1 guy from their Swerve class. It starts with the kundalini yoga, more then most of theirs which increases energy and really stretches/adds flexibility to the spine. Some hatha yoga like triangle & standing fwd bends & wide legged bends. Also a little dance-like stretching to really stretch & warm up all planes of movement to the body with some added squats to work the legs.Next is using a large stretchy band for toning, some ballet plies & leg lifts, using the band under feet to create resistance & holding in hands to also work biceps, triceps, etc. at the same time.Last is getting on the floor for ab work mostly & using their squishy ball, but a pillow or any other similar item can work.I enjoyed their energy as always, they are fun to workout out & inspiring & the time goes quickly with them w/o desire to look at the clock. I didn't have a band, so I did harder similar workout movements instead. For the toning, I just did harder movements or kept my legs raised instead of just bent knees & feet on the ground squeezing. My legs hurt the next day, and felt I got a decent ab workout. (I'm in decent shape & workout 30 min - 1 hour 6x/week.)
