I thought this would be a simple product that anything that was similar would be fine. But when I got this brand/model, the contact inside of the spring clip are not all aligned very well. When trying to connect to the IC, they make poor contact. If you bump it slightly, some of the pins will have contact and some won't, even though it physically seems like it's seated. Looking at the contacts inside of the connector, some are up higher than the others. If you push on the wires at the top along the shrink-wrap, you can actually slide the contacts up and down inside of the unit. See the two pictures I have here - one has two contact on the right side up, and the second picture is after pushing them down a bit.Ultimately, this connector leaves you with a bad experience when trying to work with your circuits. If it's an unknown circuit and you're trying an unknown procedure to access the chip, you won't know if you're failing because your procedure is wrong, or if you just don't have good contact. I would recommend not buying this unless you have a known good, repeatable process and you can afford to have to jiggle with it until things work. But if you're in an experimental, or critical situation where you can't afford a flash to fail mid-process, then this part will only cause you agony.

Pins arent proper on one end of the clip. Get what you pay for. Too late to return/exchange. I should have checked it when it arrived.
